Validation and regulatory compliance – we have has adopted a 'complete' approach to validation and ongoing support, not only during start-up when new facilities, equipment and utilities are specified and designed but also throughout all stages of development and into validation. As well as producing concise, relevant validation master plans and carrying out design reviews and vendor evaluations, the service extends to project quality plans, site acceptance tests and integrated field inspections. This unique approach to validation management has enabled the business to help raise industry standards and introduce Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) protocols throughout the world.
Technology transfer – we have a wealth of experience in the transfer of business operations and manufacturing processes, not only within the same country but also across countries and regions worldwide. Start-up
The importance of early planning to ensure timely transition from project completion to physical production can never be underestimated in any project. Following the completion of the construction and validation phases of a project, there is typically a period of time before a manufacturing facility can be running at optimum capacity. Our dedicated project teams have the specialist skills and experience needed to plan for an early start-up and are able to facilitate the process by making the right decisions at the right time.
WhiteBOX – Bovis Lend Lease invests heavily in developing sophisticated tools to achieve efficiencies for its clients at every stage of the project life cycle. The WhiteBOX software, developed by the Technology Division, is the most cost effective and efficient building delivery tool available. It allows users to interact with their buildings at the design stage and, through 3D visualisations of progress against time, accelerates approvals and manages change. Post-completion, WhiteBOX aids facilities management by enabling users to click on any building component and view its design specifications and history instantly. WhiteBOX can reduce the cost of a capital project by a minimum of three per cent.

Pre-construction and strategic procurement – we bring our extensive knowledge of development, construction, design and procurement within easy reach at the earliest stages in programme development. In order to achieve cost-effective equipment procurement, maximum time is spent with end-users and with recommended suppliers before order placement. Then, working closely with clients’ in-house specialists, a centralised procurement process ensures consistency across specification, price, terms and conditions.
Design and engineering – we seek to inject our design and engineering expertise at the earliest planning stages. The earlier designers and engineers are involved in the major decisions that shape a project, the more they can contribute to cost, time and quality factors during the construction programme.
